Alexis Hedderson

Alexis Hedderson is an artist and educator, specializing in early childhood education and watercolor and collage art. She served as a preschool teacher at Laurel for many years, and has experience as a museum educator at the Museum of Contemporary Art (moCa) and Dunham Tavern Museum. She also managed the Literary Lots program in Ohio City. Literary Lots was an immersive arts and literacy endeavor that partnered with the Cleveland Public Library. An active artist, Alexis frequently shows her work locally and has collaborated with several brick-and-mortar stores to create ephemeral displays and exhibits. Alexis holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and has attended art school. Most recently, she taught through BSMA during the CMSD Summer Experience in 2021 and at William Rainey Harper during the 2021-2022 school year.
