One-on-One Lessons

Broadway School of Music & the Arts has a 42-year commitment to providing one-on-one instrument and voice lessons to people of all ages. We remain steadfast in our belief that the mentoring and instruction that takes place during one-on-one lessons not only advances the student’s musical ability but confidence, creativity, and social-emotional skills.

Weekly 30-minute lessons are open to a wide range of ages and ability levels from beginner to advanced, children through adults. A typical lesson involves a warm-up, a review of past concepts and music, and learning new material. Enhanced lessons of 45 or 60 minutes may include additional instruction in music theory, composition, or arranging depending on student interest. Various styles such as Classical, Popular, Jazz, Spirituals, or Gospel may be studied in an exciting array of instruments.

On occasion, depending on student enrollment and interest, we offer other classes such as group Suzuki strings to give students a chance to experience playing together.

There are two 18-week sessions (Fall and Spring) and a 6-week summer session. Students may enroll for lessons at any time from September through July. Scheduling is based on studio room availability and the instructor’s schedule. Generally, lessons are on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays in the mid to late afternoon or early evening.

The student is generally expected to keep the same weekly lesson time slot for the whole session.

Tuition is prorated depending upon the number of weeks remaining in the session at the time of registration.
