Current Outreach Program Offerings

Our outreach program provides tailor made music and arts programming for the community.   Our instructors will come to your site, you are welcome to our school (as long as current health requirements can be met) or we can explore online options when in person instruction is not available.

As of June, 2020, some of our current partners include:  University Settlement; Say Yes to Education and Cleveland Play House; Senior Citizen Resources; Open Doors Academy; two child care centers - Toy Box Child Care and Bright Side Academy; and seven Cleveland Metropolitan School District schools - Mound STEM School, Bolton Elementary School, AB Hart Elementary School,Warner Girls Leadership Academy, Miles Park Elementary School, William Cullen Bryant Elementary School, and Marion-Sterling Elementary School.

Below is a list of program offerings for in-school programming, out-of-school-time programming, summer camps, online classes, family engagement and more! Adaptations will be made based on if the program is going to be offered on-site or on-line, the developmental ability of the youth, and the goals for your program. Please contact us for more details so we can create a plan specifically for your group!

Note:  Our listing begins with programs for kindergarten and older.  See our special section for additional PreK programming.

Music

Group Lessons provide a basic knowledge of the instrument and its parts, music reading, rhythms, the structure of music and fine motor skills. Children gain a sense of pride in their work learning to play together as well as by themselves. (Group music making for on-line classes adapted based on availability of proper technology.) Singing and dancing is often included to help internalize the beat and the tune.

Instruments for Group Lessons:

Percussion:  including bucket drumming

African drumming:  dependent on the availability of djembes and/or congas
